Full job description

Specsavers Arbroath are looking for an administration and call centre assistant to join our friendly team.

Working 32 hours per week over 4 days, 8am-5pm, including your fair share of weekend work, your responsibilities will include:

Answering incoming calls, answering patient queries and booking appointments, whilst delivering a high standard of customer service
Making outgoing calls to patients and sending text message reminders
Dealing with NHS claims and payments
Daily banking/ till
Invoicing from various organisation including NHS Tayside, DVLA and more.
Ordering stationary and clinical consumables
Setting up the practice ahead of opening
General housekeeping

We would consider 5 days per week for the right candidate but shift times are non-negotiable.

Hourly rate is NMW/NLW for your age plus 20 pence per hour. 28 days holiday per year plus 1 day birthday leave. Enhanced sick pay and maternity pay available after 2 years of employment with us. Additional holidays available for long service.

About you

You will have experience in customer service
You will be keen to work in a fast paced health care and customer service environment
You will be able to communicate well with all types of people in person and on the phone
No formal administrative qualifications are required but would be desirable - full training will be provided by us
You will be fully flexible and able to work 4 days from 7 including weekends
You will have basic computer skills and able to use Microsoft online platforms such as Microsoft Teams and Excel
You will have attention to detail in order to rectify any errors you may come across, such as invoicing
Good numerously and literacy skills
