At Plumbing & Renewables Ltd, we're one of the north of Scotland's leading renewable energy specialists, installing solar PV, battery storage, air source heat pumps and heating systems across Moray, Aberdeenshire and the Highlands.
You don't need previous experience in solar or renewables—we're looking for someone with a strong work ethic, practical skills and a willingness to learn. If you've worked in construction, roofing, roads, farming, offshore, warehousing, manufacturing or another hands-on role, we'd love to hear from you.
You'll primarily work alongside our experienced solar installation team, helping install solar PV systems and carrying out roofing work. When there isn't solar work on site, you'll support our plumbing and heating engineers, giving you the opportunity to learn a wide range of practical skills across the renewable energy sector.
What you'll be doing
- Assisting with the installation of solar PV mounting systems and solar panels.
- Learning roofing skills associated with solar installations.
- Building and dismantling scaffolding safely.
- Running cables and assisting with system installation.
- Supporting plumbing and heating engineers on renewable energy projects.
- Working safely at height and following Health & Safety procedures.
- Learning from experienced installers and developing new practical skills every day.
- Delivering high-quality workmanship and excellent customer service.
What we're looking for
We're looking for someone who enjoys practical work, likes being outdoors and wants to build a long-term career.
Essential
- Practical, hands-on experience in any industry.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Comfortable working outdoors and at height.
- Reliable, hardworking and able to work as part of a team.
- Good attention to detail.
- Full UK driving licence.

- Offshore or industrial roles
- Warehouse or trade counter roles
- General labouring or other practical trades
