We are seeking an experienced substantive Detective Sergeant to join the South East Cyber Command as the Regional Cyber Coordinator. This is a pivotal role supporting the SE Cyber Leadership and National Police Chiefs’ Council (NPCC) Cybercrime programme, enabling effective governance, collaboration, and operational delivery across the National Cyber Crime Network.
You will play a key role in providing critical insight into performance, budgets, resources, and assets, ensuring senior leadership has the data required to make informed decisions. Alongside this, you will drive training, continuous professional development (CPD), and the sharing of best practice across the region.
This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the UK’s response to cybercrime at a regional and national level. You will work alongside highly skilled professionals, influence strategic decision-making, and play a vital role in strengthening cyber capabilities across the South East.
You will also lead a team of Police Officers and Staff with specialist skill sets in intelligence development and financial investigation to support the proactive development of cyber and OSOC investigations. You will need to demonstate a strong background in covert and proactive investigations.
Please note that this role is part of a national, regional and local network and as a result you may be required to travel for business purposes mainly across the south east region and occasionally throughout the UK. Therefore, the successful candidate will require a full UK driving licence.
You will be also required to perform on-call arrangements for immediate response as required across the South East region
Due to the nature of our work, security is of paramount importance to us and therefore it will be necessary for the successful candidate to obtain and maintain vetting level SC together with a number of enhanced security checks. In order to achieve this, have resided in the UK for the past five years. Exemptions may apply for overseas or other diplomatic service (with HM Government), and studying abroad.
You can find more information about security vetting here.
