Full job description

Main purpose of Job

Deliveries and collections allocated by Logistics Office team in safe and efficient manner. Adhere to Company Driver Handbook, Policies and Procedures, staff training and mentoring.

Key responsibilities:

The completion of daily vehicle checks and correct defect reporting, to ensure we always remain legal and compliant.
Good understanding and knowledge of Tachograph rules and regulations.
Ensuring safe and timely deliveries to our customers.
Be a good ambassador for the Company both on the road and on site.
This role will require extensive travel to multiple company locations for which a Company van will be provided.

Person specification and required skills:

Must be eligible to work in the UK
Hold C+E Licence
Must have minimum 2 years HGV driving experience, ideally including artic tipping
Confidence to operate as a knowledgeable member of staff, mentoring drivers new to the role
Reliable, able to prioritise workload
Have methodical approach
A professional, positive and flexible attitude at all times
This role requires the use of a tablet to complete daily walk round submissions and other associated software to complete deliveries.

Working times/hours: 10 hours per day, Monday to Friday between the hours of 0600-1800.
