GCB Cocoa UK is a Chocolate and Cocoa processor based in Suffolk who are currently seeking enthusiastic and reliable Process Operators for our expansion into the second phase of our site development. You will be willing to learn new skills to manufacture Chocolate in a state-of-the-art purpose-built facility.
- Working Pattern:
- 3 Rotating Shifts (14.00 – 22.00; 06.00 – 14.00; 22.00 – 06.00; Monday – Friday, rotating weekly)
- You will start on a day shift / 2-shift pattern while training (14.00 – 22.00; 06.00 – 14.00; 22.00 – 06.00; Monday – Friday, rotating weekly)
We offer:
- Base Salary of £27,900 + Shift Allowance of £200 per month (2 shift) increasing to £250 per month (3 shift) as volumes increase.

Essential skills and experiences:
- The ability to follow written and verbal instructions and be able to complete paperwork in English.
- The ability to understand and perform basic maths calculations (adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing)
- You must be able to read and write in English to the level where you can complete quality paperwork, understand written safety instructions and work instructions and undertake online training.
- Previous experience of working to robust Quality standards and following procedures
- The ability to communicate with colleagues at all levels in English and demonstrate that you are confident to escalate any issues to ensure quality and safety
- Strong computer literacy – e.g. able to input data, confirm settings on machinery and produce reports with training
- Conscientious with strong attention to detail
- Able to regularly lift weights of up to 10kg, and be physically undertake heavy lifting when required (up to 25kg)

Desirable skills and experiences:
- Experience working in food manufacturing or with food safety standards
- Basic Food Hygiene qualification
- Knowledge of HACCP
- Experience of working with chocolate
In this role you will:
- Load raw materials and handle Ingredients on an industrial scale for the purpose of chocolate manufacturing - this will require some heavy lifting
- Operate production lines to produce Solid Chocolate for remelting, recipe inclusions and decorations.
- Undertake packaging, storage and distribution tasks.
- Maintain accurate records in line with BRC Food Safety standards and customer requirements
- Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in line with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
- Work closely with Operational, Logistics and Hygiene teams to maximise production quality and efficiency
- Uphold exceptional Health and Safety standards
- Build a comprehensive knowledge of ingredients and processes to ensure production meets customer requirements.
