Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Fabricator/Welder to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will possess strong welding and fabrication skills, with experience in structural steelwork. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, contributing to the creation of high-quality structural steel.

Duties

Perform MIG welding and other welding techniques .
Use hand tools, power tools, and specialised fabrication equipment to cut, shape, and assemble metal components
Fabricate parts from drawings and technical specifications, ensuring accuracy and quality standards are met
Assist in the assembly of fabricated components into finished products or sub-assemblies
able to troubleshoot issues during fabrication processes
Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to safety protocols at all times
Inspect completed work for defects or inconsistencies, making necessary adjustments or repairs
Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines while maintaining high standards of quality

Experience

Proven experience in fabrication of structural steel, with a strong understanding of welding principles and techniques
Demonstrable expertise in fabrication processes.
Knowledge of welding standards relevant to or similar regions
Familiarity with basic math skills for measurements and calculations
Experience in assembly processes involving metal components is desirable
Ability to interpret technical drawings.
Prior experience working in a manufacturing or workshop environment is preferred.
