Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and versatile Furniture Installer specialising in Property Staging to join our team on a flexible, zero-hours basis. The successful candidates will be responsible for efficiently installing, assembling, and arranging furniture and decorative items to enhance property presentation. This role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, providing an engaging environment for individuals with a keen eye for detail and a passion for interior presentation. Applicants should be adaptable, reliable, and capable of working independently or as part of a team to meet project deadlines.

Responsibilities

Assemble and install furniture, fixtures, and decorative items in accordance with staging plans.
Utilise hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment to complete installations accurately and safely.
Perform fabrication or modification of furniture pieces when necessary to fit specific spaces or design requirements.
Conduct basic carpentry, joinery, roofing, plumbing, masonry, electrical work, or construction painting as required for customised installations.
Handle heavy lifting and manoeuvre large or bulky items safely during the installation process.
Ensure all work areas are kept clean and organised throughout each project.
Collaborate with clients, property agents, or project managers to ensure staging meets specifications and client expectations.
Adhere strictly to health and safety regulations at all times during installation activities.

Qualifications

Proven experience in furniture assembly, fabrication, or related trades such as carpentry or joinery.
Proficiency with hand tools and power tools used in furniture installation and construction tasks.
Knowledge of construction-related skills including roofing, plumbing, masonry, electrical work, or painting is advantageous but not essential.
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently.
Strong organisational skills with an eye for detail and aesthetics.
Flexibility to work on varied projects with differing requirements on a zero-hours basis.
Reliable transportation is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to travel between sites is essential.
Previous experience in property staging or interior decoration is desirable but not compulsory. This role offers an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about interior presentation and skilled in multiple trades to contribute creatively across diverse projects while maintaining flexibility in working hours.

Pay: £12.71 per hour
