Large format Printer / Finisher
Key Responsibilities
Digital Printing: Daily machine maintenance, acquiring material from stores, loading/unloading printers, printing orders and finishing when required.
Digital Cutting: Taking work orders and ensuring correct tooling is in machine, set up material for cutting / routing. Ensure all jobs are cut and finished to a high standard
Production Tasks: Support factory operations with a variety of tasks when printing is not required.
Quality Control: Monitor and uphold the high-quality standards we’re known for.
Organisation: Maintain a clean and tidy work area to support efficient operations.
What We’re Looking For
Required Skills:
· A keen eye for detail to ensure precision and quality.

· Capability to work independently and take initiative.
· Experience in a Large format print environment
· Commitment to producing work of a high standard.
Desirable Skills (an added advantage):
· Experience operating wide-format print equipment, including roll-to-roll UV & Hybrid printers, digital cutters, and finishing tools.
· Experience using Adobe Illustrator for artwork set ups.
· Large format screen printing.

We are looking for a wide-format digital machine operator who is available to start immediately, and who will be based out of our premises in Glasgow. We are ideally looking for someone who has experience of working within the print industry, and ideally as a wide-format digital machine operator.
You will have knowledge of various Design & Production software packages, be IT literate and have excellent communication skills.
Applicants must have an eye for detail, and an ability to work well under-pressure, as well as having excellent time management skills.
You will need to be organised and conscientious, with a positive approach to problem-solving. The ideal candidate will be flexible in their approach, as there may be times when you are needed to be utilised elsewhere within the Group, as workload dictates.
Responsibilities
Duties will include, but are not limited to, the following :
- to produce high-quality large-format digital prints
- preparation of a variety of substrate materials
- finishing of both cut-vinyl and printed graphics
- printing and/or cutting jobs to required specification
- dealing with digital files
- artwork checking and processing
- vinyl application
- organising workload to meet deadlines, and to get the best productivity and/or use of materials
- machine cleanliness and basic day-to-day maintenance
- managing enquiries from other departments, clients and suppliers
- keeping the area clean, tidy and safe
Person Specification
- experience in large-format graphics, or a related discipline
- experience of using large-format digital UV printers
- methodical and good attention-to-detail
- clean working
- good manual dexterity, and ability to work to accurate dimensions
- good eye for colour, keen eye for detail
- able to work to a high standard of accuracy
- can work to tight deadlines
- good verbal communicator, and good communication skills
- highly motivated and willingness & ability to learn
- enthusiastic and ambitious
