Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head Chef to lead our culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive culinary expertise, and a commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences. As Head Chef, you will oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of food quality, safety, and presentation are maintained. This role offers an exciting opportunity to shape our menu offerings and foster a dynamic, professional kitchen environment.
As the head chef you should be open to the continued growth and expansion of the business, including adapting to extended business hours and evolving customer demands. Also be creative and forward thinking, constantly exploring new menu concepts to keep the restaurant fresh and competitive.

Responsibilities

Lead and supervise the kitchen team, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient operations
Oversee food production, ensuring dishes meet quality standards and are prepared in a timely manner
Develop innovative menus that reflect current culinary trends while maintaining consistency with restaurant branding
Manage food safety protocols, including hygiene standards and allergen controls, in compliance with regulations
Coordinate with suppliers to ensure the procurement of fresh ingredients at optimal prices
Monitor inventory levels and oversee stock control to minimise waste and maximise efficiency
Train staff on food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and service standards
Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment in accordance with health and safety regulations
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery and customer satisfaction

Qualifications

Proven supervising experience within a professional kitchen environment
Extensive culinary experience with a strong background in food preparation and cooking techniques
Demonstrable leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively
Sound knowledge of food safety standards and regulations
Previous restaurant experience is essential; hospitality background is highly desirable
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask under pressure
Strong communication skills to coordinate with team members and suppliers effectively
Passion for innovative cuisine and commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences
