Full job description

SUMMARY OF JOB:

Bank Support Worker (current bank opportunities within Day Opportunities across a range of locations - Richhill, Lurgan, Banbridge, Tamnamore ).

We have various Bank Support Workers posts available offering a range of hours within our services. We need staff who are flexible and can work regular weekends as well as staff who can provide 1 to 1 support for our participants living in the community. We will discuss the range of options with you at the interview stage.

The role will involve providing practical and possibly personal care tailored to each individual’s assessed needs, ensuring that support is both respectful and responsive. It includes working with individuals who have learning disabilities, physical disabilities, and/or Autism, with a strong emphasis on promoting their independence and enabling active participation in community life. Support may be delivered on a one-to-one basis or within a group setting. Flexibility is essential, as the support worker must be able to adapt to the evolving needs and preferences of the individuals they support, ensuring consistent and person-centred care.

Applicants must be able to demonstrate the ability to undertake all the duties and responsibilities identified in the Job Description.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Role Specific Responsibilities

To ensure that all participants have choice in selecting activities they want to be part of, that they feel listened to, respected and that they are safeguarded throughout the duration of the activity.
To provide personal care where appropriate.
Report any changes in a service user’s circumstances or condition
Report all untoward incidents/accidents to an appropriate senior member of staff in accordance with IncredABLE’s procedures.
To treat all participants with appropriate respect and courtesy and regard all matters relating to the individual and his/her circumstances as strictly confidential.
To maintain effective relationships with the participant and all appropriate members of staff involved with the individual’s care.
To participate in all incredABLE’s training as identified and required.
To complete written reports on the overall programme activities and any personal care tasks carried out.

Other Duties

Ensure confidentiality at all times, only releasing confidential information obtained during employment to those acting in an official capacity and in accordance with the provisions of GDPR, Data Protection Act and amendments.
Promote the aims and objectives of the organisation.
Commit to and work within the code of conduct, mission, values and objectives of incredABLE

Given the nature of the role, these positions are subject to an Enhanced Access NI check for the successful applicants. The cost of which will be met by incredABLE.
