Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Qualified Dental Nurse/Receptionist to join our dynamic dental team. This vital role combines clinical responsibilities with front-office duties, ensuring a seamless patient experience from initial contact through treatment. The ideal candidate will be passionate about patient care, possess excellent communication skills, and thrive in a fast-paced environment. You will play a key part in maintaining high standards of dental practice while providing friendly, professional service to all patients.

This is a full time role

Duties

Assist dentists during clinical procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety at all times
Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and materials for scheduled procedures
Provide exceptional patient care by explaining treatments, answering questions, and addressing concerns
Manage reception duties including greeting patients, scheduling appointments, and handling patient records
Operate IT systems to update patient information accurately and efficiently
Ensure the cleanliness and sterilization of dental instruments in compliance with health regulations
Support administrative tasks such as invoicing, processing payments, and managing correspondence

Skills

Proven experience as a qualified dental nurse with relevant certification or registration
Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members in English
Excellent organizational skills to manage appointments, records, and clinical supplies smoothly
Compassionate approach to patient care, demonstrating empathy and professionalism
Proficiency in IT systems used within dental practices for record keeping and scheduling
Ability to multitask efficiently in a busy environment while maintaining attention to detail
Knowledge of nursing principles and practices relevant to dental care
