Full job description

Salary: £32,000 - £38,000 basic + performance bonus

OTE: £42,000 - £50,000+

Parallel is growing quickly and we’re looking for someone to build and run our internal Sales Academy.

We recruit SDRs to work across live client campaigns. Going forward, we want to widen our recruitment pool by hiring people with the right attitude and potential, even if they don’t already have B2B sales experience, and training them properly before they go live with a client.

That’s where you come in.

This is not a traditional L&D role and we’re not looking for someone who just delivers classroom training.

We need someone who genuinely understands outbound sales, cold calling and appointment setting, and can turn raw potential into confident, client-ready SDRs.

What you’ll be responsible for

Building and running the Parallel Partnerships Sales Academy
Taking new hires through a structured SDR training programme
Deciding who is genuinely ready to graduate from the academy
Training SDRs in cold calling, objection handling, qualification, call control and appointment setting
Listening to calls and giving clear, practical coaching
Running live roleplays and call coaching sessions
Developing structured assessments and graduation standards
Supporting new SDRs when they move onto live client campaigns
Working with our existing sales team to improve performance
Identifying recurring skill gaps across the business
Coaching struggling or underperforming SDRs
Helping us continuously improve call quality and appointment quality

The academy

Every person we bring into the academy will already have a live client opportunity waiting for them.

Your job is not simply to get everyone through.

Your job is to make sure that only people who reach the required standard graduate and move onto a client campaign.

We want the academy to become a genuine quality filter for the business.

Some people will fly through it.

Some will need more coaching.

Some may not graduate at all.

We need someone confident enough to make those decisions.

Performance bonus

Your variable earnings will be directly linked to the success of the academy.

You’ll earn additional bonus for SDRs who successfully graduate and meet the required client-ready standard.

The better the academy performs, the more you can earn.

We want someone who is commercially minded and takes real ownership of the quality of people coming through the programme.

Who we’re looking for

You’ll ideally have:

Strong experience in B2B outbound sales, SDR, BDR, telesales or appointment setting
Previous experience coaching, training or managing salespeople
Excellent cold calling knowledge
Strong objection handling skills
A good understanding of qualification and meeting setting
Experience listening to calls and coaching performance
Confidence delivering practical sales training
The ability to work with complete beginners as well as experienced SDRs
High standards and the confidence to tell someone they are not yet ready
A hands-on, energetic approach

Most importantly, our sales team needs to respect your sales ability.

We’re not looking for someone who only understands sales theory.

You should be able to pick up the phone, demonstrate how a good call should sound and explain exactly why something is or isn’t working.

Parallel Partnerships is an outsourced B2B sales and appointment-setting business based in Leeds.

Our SDRs work across a wide range of client campaigns, helping businesses generate new opportunities through outbound calling.

As we continue to grow, recruitment and training are becoming increasingly important.

This role gives you the opportunity to build our academy from the ground up and have a major influence on how we recruit, train and develop our future sales team.
