Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Dispenser to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting in the preparation and dispensing of medication to patients, ensuring the highest standards of patient care and safety. You will work closely with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to provide excellent service and support to our patients.

Duties

Accurately prepare and dispense medications as per prescriptions, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
Provide exceptional patient care by answering queries related to medications and health advice.
Assist in medication administration under the supervision of a qualified pharmacist.
Maintain accurate records of medication dispensed, including inventory management and stock control.
Ensure the pharmacy environment is clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety regulations.
Collaborate with pharmacy technicians and other staff to enhance workflow efficiency.
Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay updated on pharmaceutical practices.

Experience

Previous experience in a pharmacy setting is required.
A background as a Pharmacy Technician is advantageous but not essential.
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills are crucial for managing multiple tasks effectively.
Excellent communication skills to interact positively with patients and healthcare professionals.
A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards in pharmacy practice.
