Job Summary
We are seeking a meticulous Vehicle Inspector to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting thorough inspections of vehicles to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a keen eye for detail and a solid understanding of mechanical systems. The Vehicle Inspector will play a vital part in maintaining the safety and reliability of our fleet, contributing to our reputation for excellence. Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive visual and functional inspections of vehicles, including engine, brakes, suspension, lights, tyres, and bodywork.
Utilise hand tools and power tools to access hard-to-reach areas and perform minor repairs or adjustments as required.
Document inspection results accurately and prepare detailed reports for review.
Identify defects or issues that may compromise vehicle safety or performance and recommend appropriate actions.
Assist in maintaining a clean and organised inspection area to ensure safety and efficiency.
Collaborate with maintenance teams to facilitate repairs or further assessments when necessary.
Ensure all inspections are completed within designated timeframes while adhering to company standards.

Experience

Proven experience in vehicle inspection, automotive maintenance, or related fields is desirable but not essential; training will be provided.
Mechanical knowledge is essential for understanding vehicle systems and identifying faults effectively.
Familiarity with hand tools and power tools used in vehicle inspection processes is advantageous.
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when handling parts or equipment is required.
Prior experience working with safety regulations and quality standards within an automotive environment is beneficial but not mandatory.
