Job Overview:
We are looking for an enthusiastic cook to join our Cafe team. The successful applicant can work well under pressure and is comfortable being friendly and attentive with our customers. This would suit someone who has previous experience in a role that is customer facing, preferably in the food service industry.
Our Cafe opening hours vary with a typical day being between 8am-5pm. This offers an opportunity for daytime only hours, however weekends would be required alongside flexibility.
The job would suit someone looking for part time work, with an average typical weeks hours ranging between 16 - 30 hours.
Your role will be to both cook for and serve to our customers, with a helping hand available for customer service during the busier periods. You will be lone working within the cafe and so the opportunity lends itself to someone who is able to self manage.
Responsibilities:
- Take part in daily operations of the cafe
- Take pride in the cleanliness and overall presentation of the Cafe
- Prepare and cook meals according to recipes and food safety standards
- Ensure that all food is prepared and presented in a timely manner
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations.
- Report to the kitchen manager on stock levels, prep levels and health and hygiene measures
Skills:
- Previous experience working in a kitchen / food service job is preferred
- Knowledge of food safety practices and procedures is preferred
- Time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Strong communication skills
Pay: £12.71-£13.50 per hour
