Job Summary

We are seeking a professional and experienced Dental Receptionist (Temporary) to join our private dental practice in Birchington. This role involves providing exceptional front-desk support, managing patient appointments, and ensuring smooth administrative operations. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for patients and will play a vital role in maintaining an efficient and welcoming environment. This temporary position offers valuable experience within a busy dental setting and requires a proactive approach to administrative duties.

Responsibilities

Greet patients warmly and professionally upon arrival, ensuring a positive first impression
Manage patient appointment scheduling, confirmations, and rescheduling as needed
Answer telephone calls, respond to enquiries, and direct calls appropriately
Maintain accurate patient records and update information in the practice management system
Assist with billing procedures, including processing payments and issuing invoices
Ensure the reception area remains tidy, welcoming, and well-stocked with necessary materials
Support the dental team with general administrative duties to facilitate smooth daily operations

Experience

Familiarity with Exact Dental software (or similar) is essential
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to work efficiently under pressure whilst maintaining professionalism
