Overview of the role:
The role will be based at Chesterfield.
WARD are currently recruiting for an experienced Crane Operator/ Loading Shovel Driver to join our team in Chesterfield on a permanent basis . You will be part of a hardworking team of Ward employees who support in the recycling of over half a million tonnes of ferrous and non-ferrous metals each year. Reporting to your Line Manager, you will carry out a range of duties across the site.
Hours and location:
Monday to Friday 07.00 am - 17.00 pm. Please note that occasional weekend work may be required.
The Role:
We are looking for an experienced Crane/ Loading Shovel Driver to join our team at our material recycling facility in Chesterfield. You will be part of a hardworking team of Ward employees who support in the recycling of over half a million tonnes of ferrous and non-ferrous metals each year. Reporting to the Site Manager, you will carry out associated duties with loading vessels ready for shipment around the world.
Requirements:
The successful candidates will have experience working as a Crane Driver. They will be self-motivated, hardworking, team players who are able to work occasional weekends as required.
· Operate crane and loading shovel and other equipment in a safe, competent manner
· Monitor materials and report and non-acceptable material items
· Reform material pile to ensure most effective grab volume
· Maintain clean and safe work environment.
