Liberty Roofing is looking for an experienced Roof Tiling Estimator to support our growing new build roofing operations from our Stafford office.
This is a key commercial role within the business. You will be responsible for reviewing drawings, specifications and tender information, producing accurate costings, and helping the company secure profitable, well-planned work across new build housing developments.
We are looking for someone who understands roofing, takes pride in accuracy, and can work closely with our branch teams, suppliers and senior management to produce clear, competitive and commercially sound tenders.
The Role
You will be responsible for:
- Reviewing drawings, specifications, bills of quantities and tender documents
- Producing accurate roof tiling estimates for new build housing projects
- Carrying out material take-offs and labour cost assessments
- Liaising with suppliers to obtain up-to-date material pricing
- Working with internal branch and commercial teams to understand labour, programme and operational requirements
- Preparing clear and competitive quotations for review
- Identifying risks, exclusions, assumptions and cost-saving opportunities
- Keeping estimating records, pricing data and tender information organised and up to date
- Supporting handover from tender stage into live project delivery
What We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience estimating within roofing, ideally roof tiling and new build housing
- Strong understanding of drawings, specifications and construction details
- Good commercial awareness and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple tenders and deadlines at the same time
- Confidence dealing with suppliers, internal teams and management
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office and estimating systems
- A construction, roofing or quantity surveying background would be beneficial
Roof tiling knowledge is a major advantage. We are not looking for a generic administrator — this role needs someone who can understand the detail, spot risk and price work properly.
