Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Truck Driver to join our team. As a driver for Weaver Haulage Ltd, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials to various locations across the UK including Ashbourne, Anwick and Grantham. This is a crucial role in our organization as you will be ensuring the timely and safe delivery of products to our customers.
Duties:
- Safely operate a commercial vehicle, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations
- Load and unload goods from the truck using appropriate equipment
- Plan routes and follow delivery schedules to ensure on-time deliveries
- Inspect vehicles for mechanical issues and perform basic maintenance tasks
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel usage, and any incidents that occur during transportation
- Communicate with dispatchers and customers to coordinate delivery details
- Adhere to company policies and procedures regarding safety protocols
Skills:
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Proven experience as a truck driver or delivery driver
- Excellent knowledge of traffic laws and regulations
- Strong communication skills to interact with dispatchers, customers, and other team members
- Ability to handle physical demands of the job, including lifting heavy objects and sitting for long periods of time
You must be willing to sleep in your allocated truck 4-5 nights a week for this role. NO SHARED VEHICLES, every driver is given their own unit that only they will use (may change when services are due, breakdowns or if you are on a single shift model etc)
We are offering £200 Days / £220 Nights per weekday shift with an increased rate of £220 Saturday Day / £240 Saturday Nights and £240 Sunday Day / £260 Sunday Nights. 28 days holiday inclusive of bank holidays and a night out allowance of £26.20.
