Full job description

Secret Sugar Club is a fast-growing, award-winning salon specialising in sugaring. We have built a reputation for providing high-quality hair removal in a warm, friendly and welcoming environment.

Sugaring removes hair from the root using a skin-friendly sugar paste, combining effective hair removal with gentle exfoliation and considered skincare.

We are looking for someone friendly, ambitious, professional and highly attentive to detail. No previous sugaring experience is required, as comprehensive training will be provided. Experience in waxing, beauty therapy, hair removal or client-facing work would be advantageous but is not essential.

Female intimate treatments are a core part of the role, so applicants must be comfortable training in and carrying them out professionally and confidently.

The role

You will be trained to:

Provide professional body and female intimate sugaring treatments
Complete client consultations
Maintain excellent hygiene and treatment-room standards
Help clients feel comfortable and at ease
Follow Secret Sugar Club’s treatment methods and procedures
Build positive, professional relationships with clients
Support the day-to-day running of the salon

Hours and pay

The role follows a four-days-on, three-days-off shift pattern.

Pay will begin at the applicable National Living Wage and increase to £15.50 per hour after successful completion of probation.

Probation will last for a maximum of 12 weeks and may be completed sooner depending on progress and performance.

Training and development

Full training will cover professional sugaring techniques, female intimate treatments, consultations, hygiene, client care, treatment preparation and aftercare.

Some training may take place away from Nottingham. Any required training and travel costs will be paid by Secret Sugar Club.

This role offers the opportunity to learn a specialist skill, build a long-term career and take on greater responsibility as the business grows.

Pay: £12.71-£15.50 per hour
