The Role
As Business Development Manager – IT Asset Recovery, you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, developing strategic partnerships, and helping organisations manage their technology assets more effectively and sustainably.
You will work with customers across corporate, public sector, healthcare, education, data centre, and managed service provider environments, helping them maximise recovery value while meeting security, compliance and sustainability objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and secure new business opportunities across a range of sectors
- Build long-term relationships with IT, procurement, facilities, sustainability and operational decision-makers
- Promote EGO Technology's IT Asset Recovery, Data Destruction, Refurbishment, Reuse and Recycling services
- Manage opportunities from initial contact through to contract award
- Develop strategic customer relationships and grow existing accounts
- Generate and maintain a healthy sales pipeline
- Work closely with operational teams to ensure excellent customer outcomes
- Achieve and exceed agreed sales and growth targets
- Represent EGO Technology professionally at customer meetings, industry events and networking opportunities
Who We're Looking For
We would particularly like to hear from candidates with experience in:
- IT Asset Recovery
- IT Recycling
- Technology Refurbishment & Reuse
- WEEE Compliance Services
- Data Destruction Services
- Technology Lifecycle Management
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
- Previous B2B business development or sales experience within the technology recycling or asset recovery sector
- A strong understanding of technology lifecycle services, reuse, recycling and compliance
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Commercial awareness and strong negotiation ability
- A proactive, self-motivated and results-driven approach
- The ability to identify opportunities and convert them into long-term partnerships
- Existing industry contacts would be advantageous but are not essential
