We are looking for a Grounds and Maintenance Assistant to join our team at Stratford Lodge Retreat in Stratford Upon Avon. Hourly rate of £12.71!
This role is responsible for supporting the maintenance and presentation of our retreat, ensuring that guest accommodation, facilities, and grounds are maintained to the highest standards.
The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering an exceptional guest experience by assisting with routine maintenance, groundskeeping duties, and responding to guest requests. This is a hands-on position that requires a positive attitude, practical skills, and a commitment to maintaining our five-star environment.
This is a permanent position to work full time hours. This will be 40 hours across five variable days which will include weekends (an average of one weekend in three) and bank holidays, and paid on call between the hours on 5pm and 11pm on a rota basis.

About The Role
Main responsibilities:
The successful Grounds and Maintenance Assistant will:

Assist the maintenance team with the upkeep of company buildings and guest accommodation.

Hot tub testing, emptying and cleaning.
- Respond to maintenance requests from guests on site.

Assist with renovation projects and attend planned daily maintenance tasks.

Complete any necessary paperwork following repairs and maintenance.

Assist the grounds team to ensure the appearance of the retreat is kept up to its five star standard.

Assist with grass cutting and strimming, edging and weeding borders and also clearing pathways.

Ensure the retreat is kept clear and free of debris.
Requirements:

Previous maintenance / grounds experience is an advantage

A positive work ethic with a willingness to learn new skills is desirable

Ability to get to and from work - the retreat is not on a bus route.
