Full job description

Acharya Mentoring provides support to higher education students receiving Disabled Students’ Allowance (DSA). We are seeking compassionate and dedicated tutors & mentors to provide in-person 1:1 study skills support for students with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC).

The Role:

Deliver tailored 1:1 sessions to support independent learning and study strategies.
Help students overcome barriers such as organisation, time management, motivation, anxiety, and confidence.
Maintain records, learning plans, and timesheets.
Signpost to relevant university or professional services when appropriate.

Essential Requirements:

Self-employed with UTR number.
Undergraduate degree AND a recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, QTLS, Cert Ed, etc.).
Comprehensive training in adult autism through the National Autistic Society or Optimum training(or willingness to complete training, subsidised if required).
Enhanced DBS
Eligibility to work in the UK.
Full UK driving licence.

Desirable:

Experience in higher education or supporting students with Autism.
Knowledge of assistive technology.
