Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Gastropub Head Chef to lead our culinary team in delivering exceptional, innovative, and high-quality food experiences. Working alongside our executive chef, you will craft flavorful menus that celebrate fresh ingredients and creative techniques, all while maintaining the highest standards of food safety and hospitality.

Responsibilities

Lead and supervise the kitchen team, fostering a positive, motivated work environment focused on teamwork and excellence.
Develop, plan, and execute innovative menus that highlight seasonal ingredients and current culinary trends.
Oversee all aspects of food preparation, ensuring dishes meet quality standards, presentation expectations, and consistency.
Manage food production processes efficiently to meet service timelines without compromising quality or safety.
Maintain strict adherence to food safety regulations, sanitation standards, and proper storage procedures.
Train staff on cooking techniques, food safety protocols, and service standards to enhance their skills and confidence.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery and exceptional guest experiences.

Qualifications

Proven supervising experience in a high-volume restaurant or gastropub setting with a focus on team management.
Extensive culinary experience with strong skills in food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen operations.
Demonstrated leadership abilities with a passion for mentoring and developing culinary talent.
Solid understanding of food safety regulations and best practices within hospitality environments.
Previous restaurant experience that showcases versatility across menu development, food production, and service coordination.
Knowledge of hospitality principles including customer service excellence and serving standards.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and quality control.

Pay: Up to £35,000.00 per year
