We are seeking a skilled Print Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience with large scale digital pigment printers, but we are willing to train the right candidate. The primary role of the Digital Textile Print Technician is to keep the printers running both with internal and customer jobs. Many of our jobs come in a short notice or will have time earmarked in the schedule which sometimes need to be altered or changed to fit in with demands from customers.
This position is located in a warehouse environment and sometimes requires heavy lifting.
Duties include:
- Setting up print files using Photoshop and or Adobe Illustrator
- Cleaning, maintenance and repair of all print equipment and accessories.
- Create and maintain a cleaning and maintenance schedule and log.
- Seamless management and ordering of consumables including fabric and inks.
- Creating and maintaining a flexible print schedule that allows for the unknown volumes of orders with minimum downtime in between.
- Preparing fabric to make it print ready.
- Monthly contact with regular customers to check in with their requirements to try and even out the schedule.
- Tracking & logging daily print time by job including material cost and sales value.
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOP’s) for every job consistently.
- Creating images and mock ups of products to be used for online sales social media promotion.
- Perform quality control checks on finished products.
- Communicate with team members to ensure production goals are met.
- Helping out other departments when busy by re-rolling and cutting fabrics ready for shows and helping dispatch when busy by cutting and folding fabric to specifications.
Candidates will need the following skills, experience, and personal attributes:
· Experience and confidence in using Photoshop.

- Time Management.
- Ability to use your own initiative and problem solve.
- Some working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator.
- Good level of general computer skills.
- Liaison with customers/staff members is courteous and professional manner.
- Attendance and timekeeping to a high standard.
- Commitment to flexible working if and when required.
- Team worker happy to help out other departments if needed.
- Good physical fitness as the fabric rolls can be heavy.
Experience of Mimaki printers and Roland Print and Cut Systems would be an advantage.
