Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Floor Manager specialising in Appliance Refurbishment and Operations to oversee daily warehouse activities. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing refurbishment processes, ensuring efficient logistics, and maintaining high standards of safety and productivity within the warehouse environment. This role offers an opportunity to lead a team, optimise operational workflows, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our appliance refurbishment programme.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with the Director of Operations.
- Supervise and coordinate all warehouse operations related to appliance refurbishment, including materials handling, shipping, and receiving.
- Manage and optimise workflow processes to improve efficiency and reduce turnaround times through process improvement initiatives.
- Oversee the utilisation of "In-House" warehouse management systems (WMS) for inventory control, order processing, and reporting.
- Lead and manage a team of warehouse staff, providing training, guidance, and performance feedback to ensure high levels of team productivity and morale.
- Operate or oversee the operation of forklifts and other heavy machinery safely in compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Organise logistics for inbound and outbound shipments, liaising with 3PL providers to ensure timely delivery and collection of goods.
- Maintain accurate stock levels through regular stock checks and inventory management procedures.
- Implement safety protocols to minimise risks associated with heavy lifting, mechanical handling, and warehouse operations.
- Coordinate mechanical repairs or maintenance as needed to ensure equipment functionality.
- Utilise knowledge of shipping & receiving procedures to streamline processes whilst ensuring compliance with company standards.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in warehouse management or similar roles within logistics or appliance refurbishment sectors.
- Strong understanding of materials handling techniques, process optimisation, and logistics management.
- Proficiency in using warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Demonstrable team management skills with the ability to motivate staff effectively.
- Mechanical knowledge relevant to appliance refurbishment processes is desirable.
- Experience operating forklifts or other heavy machinery is highly-desirable; relevant certifications are preferred.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently as part of daily operations.
- Knowledge of 3PL logistics providers, shipping & receiving procedures, and inventory control practices.

Pay: £32,000.00-£38,000.00 per year
