Job Summary
Part time driver required for position in an established and busy Company based in Chester. Experience would be an advantage but full training will be given. Must have a full CPC.
We have a fully licensed transfer station and run a fleet of skip wagons, tipper wagons and hook loaders.
We are looking for a skip driver to operate a chain lift vehicle to service customers skips. Local work only so a good knowledge of Chester and surrounding areas is essential. This role requires a commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and professionalism while on the road.
The successful candidate must be flexible with overtime. Contracted hours 16-24 hours per week and availability to cover holidays if required. Overtime paid at time and a half. Holiday pay paid at average hours for non Bank Holidays.
Cleanliness of the vehicle inside and out are the drivers responsibility and we operate a system of one driver per vehicle whenever possible.
Full PPE and uniform will be provided.

Responsibilities
- Operate chainlift skip lorries to transport skips to designated locations.
- Ensure the safe loading and unloading of skips, securing loads appropriately.
- Conduct daily drivers defect checks.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation as required.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues.
- Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, representing the company positively.
Skills
- Proven experience in commercial driving.
- Strong driving skills with a clean driving record.
- Previous experience as a skip driver is an advantage.
- Excellent time management skills, with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with clients and team members.
