Vending Machine Operator

The Opportunity
Border Vending Group is looking for a high-level, experienced Relief Vending Machine Operator to support operations across the Northwest.
This is a critical role within the business, covering holidays, supporting routes, and stepping in where needed to maintain service, standards, and compliance.
You’ll operate across coffee, snack, cold drinks, and fresh food vending, while also taking responsibility for food safety standards and compliance checks across multiple sites.
This is not just a support role — this is a trusted operator position.
Important
This is not an entry-level role.
Previous vending experience is essential.
If you haven’t worked in vending before, this role won’t be suitable.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Covering routes across the Northwest during holidays and absences
- Servicing and restocking coffee, snack, cold drink, and fresh food machines
- Managing fresh food stock rotation, date control, and quality standards
- Carrying out food safety checks and ensuring full compliance on all sites
- Supporting audit readiness and maintaining hygiene standards
- Identifying and resolving compliance or quality issues proactively
- Carrying out basic maintenance and fault finding
- Maintaining high standards across all locations
- Adapting quickly to different routes, machines, and customer requirements
- Using handheld PDA systems to manage routes and stock

What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 1 year vending experience (essential)
- Experience handling fresh food vending or stock (preferred)
- Strong understanding of food safety, hygiene, and stock rotation
- Confident in carrying out site checks and compliance reviews
- Flexible and adaptable, able to cover multiple routes
- Reliable, organised, and able to work independently
- Full UK driving licence (essential)

Pay & Benefits
- £12.85 per hour (40 hours per week)
