Full job description

Role details:

Job title: Quality Assurance,
Employment type: Full-time, permanent,
Hours: 40 hours/week, onsite,
Pay rate: £15.00 per hour; with a potential increase after probation period,
Start date:
Probation period: 3 months, with a review before confirmation,
Holiday entitlement: 5.6 weeks (28 days) per year, inclusive of New Year Day, and Christmas Day bank holidays, pro-rata for the probation period,
Notice period: 1 week during probation, 4 weeks thereafter,
Working hours: Monday - Friday, weekly shift pattern change (6am-2pm, 8am - 4pm).

Job description

As QA, you'll be responsible for making sure every product leaving Classic Desserts meets our quality and food safety standards. Core responsibilities include:

Inspecting raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods against quality and safety specifications,
Monitoring production processes for compliance with HACCP and food hygiene standards,
Recording inspection results, batch checks, and traceability documentation,
Identifying and reporting non-conformances, and supporting root-cause investigations and corrective actions,
Conducting routine checks on weights, labelling, packaging, and shelf-life dating,
Supporting internal audits and helping prepare for external/regulatory inspections,
Working closely with the production team to flag issues early and maintain consistent product quality,
Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene records in line with food safety regulations,

Pay: £15.00 per hour
