Food & Beverage Manager – Smiths Hotel, Gretna Green

Leadership Role | Weddings & Events | Hotel Operations

At Smiths Hotel, our Food & Beverage team plays a huge part in that — from relaxed breakfasts and evening dining to weddings, celebrations and large-scale events.

We’re looking for a Food & Beverage Manager to join our Hotel Operations team, working closely with our Senior Food & Beverage Manager to help lead service, support the wider operation, and deliver exceptional guest experiences every day.

The role

This is a hands-on leadership role based primarily at Smiths Hotel.

One moment you could be supporting breakfast service.
The next, preparing for a wedding breakfast, managing a busy restaurant service or overseeing an event turnover.

You’ll play a key role in ensuring every service runs smoothly and every guest experience reflects the standards we expect at Gretna Green.

What you’ll be doing

Leading and supporting the Food & Beverage team during service
Delivering high standards across restaurant, bar and events
Supporting weddings, conferences and functions
Managing rotas, labour and day-to-day operations
Coaching and developing team members
Working closely with kitchen and hotel operations teams
Acting as part of the wider Duty Management team

What we’re looking for

You may already be an F&B Manager or perhaps a strong Assistant Manager ready to step up.

Most importantly, you’ll:

lead from the front
stay calm under pressure
enjoy the pace of hospitality
take pride in high standards
know how to motivate a team

Experience within hotel operations, weddings or events would be beneficial.
