Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Manager to lead and manage the day-to-day running of our domiciliary care service. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that high-quality, safe, effective and person-centred care is delivered to service users in their own homes.
The Registered Manager will be responsible for service delivery, care planning, staff supervision, rota oversight, quality monitoring, compliance, safeguarding, communication with service users and families, and ensuring the service meets CQC requirements and company standards.
This role is suitable for someone with strong experience in domiciliary care, care coordination, senior care work, staff supervision and care management, with the ability to lead a care team and maintain a safe, compliant and caring service.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operation of the domiciliary care service.
- Ensure safe, effective, caring, responsive and well-led care is delivered to service users.
- Complete and oversee assessments, care plans, risk assessments and regular reviews.
- Ensure care and support is delivered safely and in line with each service user’s care plan.
- Monitor care records, daily notes, MAR charts, incident forms and other care documentation.
- Carry out quality assurance checks, including care plan reviews, medication audits, log audits, spot checks and service user feedback.
- Ensure staff are recruited, inducted, trained, supervised and supported appropriately.
- Carry out staff supervisions, competency checks, observations, appraisals and performance reviews.
- Oversee staff rotas and ensure care calls are covered safely and effectively.
- Respond to service user, family and staff concerns in a professional and timely manner.
- Liaise with families, healthcare professionals, local authorities, CQC and other external agencies where required.
- Promote safeguarding, dignity, privacy, independence, choice and person-centred care at all times.
- Manage complaints, incidents, accidents, safeguarding concerns and lessons learned appropriately.
- Ensure company policies and procedures are followed at all times.
- Ensure compliance with CQC regulations, safeguarding requirements, health and safety standards and contractual requirements.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure documentation is completed to a high standard.
- Participate in on-call duties where required.
- Promote a positive, professional and supportive working environment.
- Lead service improvement and support the growth and development of the service.
- Ensure the service remains inspection-ready and compliant with regulatory requirements.
Skills and Experience Required
- Previous experience in domiciliary care, home care or a similar health and social care setting.
- Experience as a Registered Manager, Deputy Manager, Care Manager, Care Coordinator, Field Care Supervisor, Team Leader or Senior Carer is desirable.
- Strong understanding of care planning, risk assessments and person-centred care.
- Good knowledge of CQC regulations and expectations.
- Knowledge of safeguarding, medication procedures, infection control, MCA, dignity, duty of care and duty of candour.
- Experience supervising, managing or supporting care staff.
- Good communication, leadership and organisational skills.
- Ability to manage priorities and work under pressure.
- Good IT and record-keeping skills.
- Ability to work professionally with service users, families, staff, local authorities, healthcare professionals and external agencies.
Driving Requirement
A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is required due to the nature of the role, including travelling to service users’ homes, completing assessments and reviews, carrying out staff observations, spot checks, attending meetings and supporting the service where required.
Qualifications
- NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Health and Social Care is desirable.
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Adult Care is desirable or willingness to work towards it.
- Medication, safeguarding, moving and handling, MCA, infection control and leadership training would be beneficial.
- Previous supervisory or management training is desirable.

Pay: £32,000.00-£33,000.00 per year
