Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Pre-School Room Leader with a minimum Level 3 qualification or recognised Teacher Status to join our vibrant early childhood education team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team within the nursery setting, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children. This role offers an excellent opportunity to utilise your management and childcare skills whilst making a positive impact on children's early development. Pay is based on experience and can be discussed with the successful candidate.

Responsibilities

Lead and supervise a team of nursery staff, ensuring effective organisation and delivery of daily activities
Plan, implement, and evaluate age-appropriate educational programmes in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework
Foster a warm, welcoming environment that promotes children’s social, emotional, and cognitive development
Maintain high standards of health and safety within the nursery setting, adhering to all legal and organisational policies
Build strong relationships with children, parents, and colleagues through effective communication and teamwork
Monitor children's progress and maintain accurate records of their development
Support the professional development of team members through mentoring and guidance
Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements related to childcare provision

Skills

Management and leadership experience within a childcare or nursery setting
Strong working knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices
Childcare experience, ideally with nursery or preschool settings
Ability to organise workload efficiently whilst maintaining attention to detail
Passionate about working with children and supporting their developmental needs
