Responsibilities
- Prepare a variety of sandwiches, salads, and other menu items according to company standards and recipes
- Ensure all food is prepared safely, adhering to food safety regulations and hygiene standards
- Serve customers promptly and courteously, providing excellent customer service at all times
- Assist with stock replenishment and inventory management to ensure ingredients are fresh and available
- Upsell additional menu items or upgrades to enhance the customer experience and maximise sales
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area, including washing utensils, cleaning surfaces, and disposing of waste appropriately
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure orders are completed accurately and promptly
- Follow all health and safety procedures to create a safe working environment for staff and customers
Experience
- Previous experience in food preparation or within a restaurant environment is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper hygiene practices is advantageous
- Basic maths skills are necessary for handling cash transactions and portion control
- Experience in kitchen operations or culinary roles will be beneficial in understanding food presentation and quality standards
- Strong time management skills are essential to prioritise tasks efficiently during peak hours
- Familiarity with serving customers in a fast-food or casual dining setting will support excellent service delivery
