ABOUT US
The Reward Collection is the world's leading loyalty hub, revolutionising how businesses and consumers connect through innovative, seamless loyalty solutions. As the No.1 platform for card-linked offers, we bridge the gap between retailers and over 400 million customers across the globe, empowering brands to reach their target audience effortlessly while offering customers meaningful rewards and savings on their everyday purchases.
Our extensive network of retailers spans a diverse range of industries, ensuring that we provide valuable and relevant offers to our global customer base. By integrating card-linked technology with existing loyalty programmes, we remove the friction of traditional discount models, allowing customers to automatically benefit from offers without the need to activate or present coupons.
At The Reward Collection, our commitment to driving incremental growth and engagement for retailers is matched by our dedication to enhancing the customer experience. With a presence in key international markets and a rapidly growing user base, we're setting the standard for the future of loyalty by creating mutually beneficial partnerships that foster long-term success for all.
The finance team sits at the heart of that growth. We're a small, ambitious function working closely with the CFO, billing an international client base across multiple currencies and owning the data that flows through the business, from card-linked transactions through to client invoicing. We're investing in modern tools, with automation handling routine work so the team can focus on analysis, judgement and commercial support. This role is a key part of that: you'll own the health of the sales ledger end to end, working with leading banks and loyalty platforms as clients, with real scope to shape how credit control is done here.
PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
The Credit Controller owns the end-to-end health of the sales ledger across a multi-currency (GBP and USD), client- and programme-based revenue model. The role exists to do two things well:
- Run a disciplined, largely automated routine collections cycle, overseeing invoice chasing automation (Chaser) and AI-assisted workflows so that standard receivables are collected with minimal manual effort and clean trading DSO stays within target.
- Apply judgement where automation cannot, managing disputed, escalated, administration and legal-stage accounts as structured cases, and supporting provisioning decisions with well-evidenced recommendations.
The role absorbs the transactional credit control and receivables administration currently spread across the finance team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Routine collections & automation oversight
- Operate and continuously tune the automated chasing cycle in AR system; design escalation paths, cadences and templates by client segment and programme type.
- Intervene where automated chasing is inappropriate (key accounts, sensitive relationships, complex programme billing).
- Allocate cash receipts accurately across GBP and USD ledgers; resolve unallocated and unidentified receipts promptly.
- Maintain accurate customer master data, credit terms and contact records in Xero.
2. Case management of disputed, escalated and legal accounts
- Own a structured case file for every disputed account: facts, correspondence, valuation of recoverable amounts, next actions and review dates.
- Lead resolution of invoice disputes with clients, coordinating internally with Account Management.
3. Provisioning & reporting
- Maintain the categorisation of the ledger into undisputed, disputed, administration and legal accounts so that reported DSO reflects genuine collection performance.
- Prepare monthly aged receivables analysis with commentary, distinguishing disputed from undisputed accounts.
- Track and report dispute cycle times and recovery rates.
4. Credit risk & process improvement
- Monitor credit report updates for existing clients and advise the team where a client's changing credit position calls for an adjustment to our debt collection approach.
- Contribute to audit readiness: maintain documentation and evidence trails for receivables balances, provisions and write-offs.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Essential
- Demonstrable credit control experience in a B2B environment, including direct handling of disputed accounts and insolvency or legal-stage debt.
- Sound commercial judgement on provisioning and escalation decisions, with the ability to weigh recovery likelihood against cost and relationship impact.
- Confident, professional communicator with clients at finance-team and senior level; firm without damaging relationships.
- Strong organisational discipline: case management, documentation and follow-through on long-running matters.
- Competent with cloud accounting platforms (Xero or similar) and Excel.
Desirable
- Experience operating or configuring collections automation tools (e.g. Chaser) and comfort working alongside AI-assisted workflows.
- Multi-currency ledger experience (GBP/USD).
- Exposure to client- or programme-based billing models with complex invoicing structures.
