Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Car Mechanic to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of vehicles, ensuring they operate safely and efficiently. Duties

Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify mechanical issues using schematics and diagnostic tools
Repair and replace faulty components, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and suspension systems
Utilise hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment to perform repairs and maintenance tasks
Interpret technical diagrams and schematics to facilitate accurate repairs and assembly procedures
Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, tyre rotations, and fluid top-ups
Carry out equipment repair and welding as necessary to restore vehicle functionality
Assist with assembly of vehicle parts during repair or refurbishment processes
Ensure all work complies with safety standards and manufacturer specifications
Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly and addressing customer concerns effectively
Undertake heavy lifting when required to move parts or equipment safely within the workshop

Skills

Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to diagnose complex issues accurately
Proficiency in reading schematics and technical diagrams
Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment
Experience with vehicle assembly, maintenance, and repair procedures
Knowledge of automotive systems including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical components
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in a workshop setting
Excellent customer service skills with clear communication abilities
Organised approach to work with attention to detail in all tasks undertaken
Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
