Calf Rearer / Farm Assistant

30–40 hours per week | Shared weekend rota
We are looking for a reliable, practical person to join our expanding, modern calf rearing unit. This is a hand on role working with calves from intake through weaning.
We are looking for someone who is keen to learn, works at a good pace, takes pride in doing a job properly, and is willing to get stuck in with all aspects of farm work.
The role will include:
· Daily calf care and health checks
· Feeding, bedding and general stock tasks
· Working with automated milk feeding machines
· Helping with intakes, weighing, moving, vaccinating and routine calf work
· Keeping sheds clean, tidy and well organised
· Driving a front loader for bedding, feeding and yard work
· Working to clear routines and animal health protocols
What we’re looking for:
· Livestock experience is preferred, but not essential, we are happy to train the right person
· Comfortable operating machinery or willingness to learn
· Good observation skills
· Reliable and able to work to a consistent routine
· Willing to work as part of a small team in a physically demanding role

Pay: £11.00-£14.00 per hour
