Full job description

Job Overview
Fixaki is seeking a motivated and reliable Electrician Assistant / Electrical Installation Assistant to support our growing team across Coventry, Leicester, and surrounding areas. This role provides an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in modern electrical and technology installations while working alongside experienced engineers and electricians.

You will assist with a wide range of projects including electrical installations, CCTV systems, networking infrastructure, security systems, smart home technologies, and AI-enabled automation solutions. The ideal candidate will be practical, eager to learn, and comfortable travelling to customer sites.

Duties

Assist electricians and engineers with electrical installation, maintenance, and repair works.
Support the installation and commissioning of CCTV and surveillance systems.
Assist with network cabling, WiFi installations, switches, routers, and structured data cabling.
Support the installation of security systems including alarms, access control, and door entry systems.
Assist with smart home and building automation projects.
Support AI-based monitoring and automation system deployments.
Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
Prepare materials, tools, and equipment required for site work.
Assist with testing, fault finding, and inspection activities under supervision.
Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment.
Follow all health and safety procedures and company policies.

Travel to customer sites as required

Qualifications

Basic electrical knowledge or experience working in a technical environment is desirable.
Experience with CCTV, networking, security systems, or smart home technologies is advantageous but not essential.
Ability to use hand tools and power tools safely.
Strong willingness to learn and develop new technical skills.
Good problem-solving ability and attention to detail.
Reliable, punctual, and professional.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Full UK driving licence is preferred but not essential.

Pay: £60.00-£80.00 per day
