The Short Version
You love travel. You love the UK. You get a genuine kick out of crafting an itinerary that makes someone's dream trip a reality — and you're commercial enough to make sure it works as a business too.
You're self-motivated, deadline-driven, and when things get hectic you find a way to deliver anyway. You don't need hand-holding. You want to win.
If that sounds like you, keep reading.
Who We Are
Crown Journey designs high-end, tailor-made UK travel experiences for international clients — mainly from the USA, Canada and Australia — who want something far beyond the usual tourist trail. We're based in Telford, part of Travel Collection, a global DMC group operating in twenty two countries worldwide.
We're a small, ambitious team. We work hard, we care deeply about what we deliver, and we're building something we're genuinely proud of.
The Role
You'll be designing and selling bespoke UK itineraries for international travel agents and their clients — couples, families, discerning travellers who want the real Britain, not the highlight reel. Itineraries span hotels, transfers, experiences, private guides, tickets, dining and more.
No cold calling. Every enquiry comes to us. Your job is to turn those enquiries into beautifully crafted proposals — and then into confirmed bookings.
You'll manage the full process: first contact, itinerary design, pricing, proposal, follow-up, close, handover to Operations. You'll build genuine relationships with travel advisors, many of them based in the US, so some flexibility around hours is part of the deal.
You won't be doing it alone. You'll work alongside an experienced sales colleague and hand your bookings to a newly built, capable Operations team who'll deliver them flawlessly — so you can focus on designing and selling.
This is a role with real commercial teeth. We track conversions. We care about margin. And we reward people who perform — the quarterly incentive is equivalent to around two months' additional salary per year.
Day to day you'll be:
- Designing personalised UK itineraries and producing polished proposals
- Managing your enquiry pipeline from first contact to confirmed booking
- Building relationships with travel advisors via email, phone and Google Meet
- Working closely with our Operations team on live bookings
- Staying sharp on UK product, suppliers and what makes a trip truly special
You
- Passionate about travel — especially the UK. You can sell it because you love it.
- A finisher — you deliver, no matter what the day throws at you
- Self-sufficient — you manage your own pipeline without being chased
- Commercially minded — you understand margin and you want to hit your numbers
- A brilliant communicator — in writing, on calls, and on camera
- AI-fluent — you use tools like ChatGPT or Claude to work smarter and faster. This isn't optional.
- Invested — you want to do well personally, and you want Crown Journey to thrive. You see those as the same thing.
Background: 2+ years' professional experience in travel. Prior experience at a DMC or UK inbound travel company is what we're really looking for — if you've designed or sold UK itineraries for international clients, you'll be right at home here. Wider travel or luxury services backgrounds are also genuinely valuable.
