With a fleet of over 120 vehicles and 150+ employees, we are one of the UK’s leading providers of logistical support and warehousing.Due to continued expansion and growth of the business, and following the acquisition of a further Company, we have a two vacancies for workshop based mechanics on our site in Wardle, Cheshire. This role has an annual earning equivalent of £62,608 for only three working days per week.Our workshop is heated and well equipped, servicing an internal fleet of vehicles and trailers, as well as external customers.It is an exciting time to join our Company, as we are a growing and ambitious organisation, with reliable and consistent contracts.Benefits

Shift Pattern
- Three working days per week of Friday, Saturday, Sunday only.
- Nightshift
- 39 Hour working week.
- Additional shifts available if desired.
Facilities
- Modern and well equipped, 6 bay insulated and heated workshop.
- Modern fleet of trucks and trailers, many under 6 years old.
- Up to date Jaltest Diagnostics.
- Tablet operated roller brake tester.
- Inspection pits.
- Predominately own fleet at present.
- Recent investment in new air operated pit jacks and upright transmission jack.
- R2C online inspection software.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an HGV mechanic.
- Good knowledge of vehicle systems and components.
- HGV licence advantageous, however funding is available for you to gain your HGV / Class 1 licence, if desired.
Responsibilities
- Maintenance / repair of primary own fleet, and external customer vehicles when required (trucks, trailers and some light commercials).
- Safety inspections and MOT preparations to DVSA standards.
- Present vehicles for MOT if suitably qualified.
- Diagnose and repair faults using company supplied diagnostic equipment.
- Minor fabrication and bodywork repairs if able (not essential).
- Keep accurate records of all maintenance and repairs performed.
- Complete required paperwork in a neat and timely fashion.
- Adhere to company health and safety requirements.
- General cleaning of the workshop and work areas.
