An exiting opportunity has arisen to join a well established and highly respected Criminal Law Firm with a long-standing reputation for excellence in criminal defence work.

We are seeking an ambitious and motivated Paralegal who is looking to build a successful career as a Criminal Defence Solicitor. This role offers far more than traditional paralegal experience, it provides a genuine pathway towards completing QWE, making it an ideal opportunity for a recent law graduate eager to take the next step in their legal career.

The Opportunity

Working alongside experienced criminal defence solicitors, you will gain invaluable hands-on experience. You will play an integral role in supporting the legal team while developing the practical skills and knowledge required for a future career in criminal law.

This position is particularly suited to candidates who have recently completed their LLB or have graduated from university and are committed to pursuing qualification as a Solicitor within the criminal justice sector.

Key Responsibilities

Assisting solicitors with the preparation and management of criminal case files.D
Drafting legal documents, correspondence and court bundles.
Liaising with clients, courts, counsel and external agencies.
Conducting legal research and case analysis
Attending court where appropriate and supporting solicitors
Providing administrative and case management support to the wider legal team

About You

The successful candidate will possess:
A Law Degree (LLB) or equivalent legal qualification
A genuine passion for Criminal Law and Criminal Defence Work
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
A proactive, professional and client-focused approach
