Position: Experienced Baker

Responsible to: Head Chef / Head Baker

Key Responsibilities

Ensure all viennoiserie, sourdough and pastry products are made consistently and in accordance with FED standards and specs
Follow recipes and production methods accurately to maintain quality and consistency across all products
Produce sweet and savoury pastry doughs and baked goods for daily counter service
Work efficiently to ensure all products are ready within agreed production timelines, particularly ahead of morning deliveries
Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment in line with food safety and hygiene standards
Ensure all equipment is properly used, cleaned and looked after and report any issues where necessary
Work collaboratively with the wider kitchen team to ensure smooth day-to-day operations
Monitor product quality throughout production and flag any issues with consistency or standards
Follow all SOPs to ensure café orders are fulfilled with the correct products and quantities

Person Profile Specification

Passion for and good knowledge of baked goods, particularly viennoiserie, sourdough and pastry products
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and consistency
Good organisational skills and ability to manage time effectively during production
Ability to work at pace while maintaining high standards
Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn
Good understanding of food hygiene and kitchen safety standards
In-depth menu and company knowledge and the ability to talk enthusiastically about what we do

Pay: £28,000.00-£38,000.00 per year
