We are looking for a Deli manager to lead our Public Market site. Public Market is a growing, independent food business based in Easton, focused on fresh, high-quality food made with great local produce. We work closely with local suppliers and produce a range of items our central production kitchen. Our deli offers a mix of seasonal salads, sausage rolls, pasties and quiches etc.
This role is focused on managing the day-to-day life on the Deli – leading a small team, maintaining high food and service standards, and keeping everything organised and consistent. We are looking for someone with a real passion for food, who would also be able to organise customer events within the shop showcasing the local produce. You’ll work closely with the Executive Head Chef following a framework to ensure the delis run smoothly and deliver quality food to our customers every day.
Key responsibilities
Oversee day to day running of the deli
Lead, organise and support a small team
Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation and cleanliness
Manage stock, ordering and waste control
Follow and enforce food safety, hygiene and allergen procedures
Complete opening/closing checks and daily systems
Communicate and order clearly with the central production kitchen
Identify and resolve issues quickly
