Goods Out Supervisor – Immediate Start

Plant-Ex Ingredients – Avonmouth Pay: £32,000 – 35,000 Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Quick Overview

Hours: Monday to Thursday, 11:30am– 8pm and Fridays 9:30am – 6pm (40 hours p/w)
Location: In person (Avonmouth)

What You’ll Be Doing

The Goods Out Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Goods Out/Dispatch function, ensuring all customer orders are picked, packed, labelled, and dispatched accurately, safely, and on time.

This role provides day-to-day leadership, support, and training to Goods Out Operatives while acting as a key link between Warehouse Operations, Customer Service, Production Planning, and external logistics partners.

· Oversee daily picking, packing, labelling, and dispatch activities to ensure customer orders are completed accurately and on time.

· Ensure all products are prepared and dispatched in accordance with customer requirements and company procedures.

· Coordinate dispatch schedules in line with delivery deadlines and customer priorities.

· Ensure all dispatch paperwork and system entries are completed accurately and on time.

· Ensure compliance with transport and shipping regulations.

· Provide day-to-day supervision and guidance to Goods Out Operatives.

· Conduct monthly 1-1 meetings with team members and provide feedback to the Logistics Manager.

· Support stock counts and audits as required.

· Ensure proper stock rotation procedures are followed (FIFO).

· Manage customer dispatch queries where required.

· Ensure compliance with all warehouse health and safety procedures.

· Ensure warehouse cleanliness and GMP standards are maintained.

The Ideal Candidate

Essential

Reach and Counterbalance FLT
Reliable commute to Avonmouth.
Previous experience in warehouse, logistics, dispatch, or goods out operations.
Strong understanding of picking, packing, labelling, and shipping procedures.
Experience using warehouse scanning systems.
Strong attention to detail.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Computer literacy including warehouse systems and Microsoft Office.
Strong understanding of inventory processes and FIFO principles.
Ability to work independently and make decisions.
Experience in warehouse leadership, logistics coordination, or similar supervisory role.

Desirable

Formal logistics, leadership, or warehouse qualifications/training.
Experience working with export shipments and transport bookings.
Experience handling hazardous goods dispatch documentation.
