Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic person to join our team. This role involves supporting food production and preparation processes within a busy kitchen environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for baking, excellent organisational skills, and a keen eye for food safety standards. You must have some form of baking experience whether that is through work or as a hobby interest. T
You will also be required to work two weekdays as well as a Saturday so this position isn't suitable for someone still in education.
This is also not a training position. Some training will of course be given however basic skills of cooking/baking are required.
Duties
- Assist with food preparation and cooking tasks, ensuring all products meet quality standards
- Support the food production process by organising ingredients and equipment efficiently
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in line with food safety regulations
- Help with baking and other cooking activities as required
- Ensure all kitchen areas are kept tidy, organised, and safe for staff and customers
- Follow recipes accurately and assist in portion control during food assembly
- Support team members during busy periods to ensure smooth customer service operations
- Adhere to health and safety guidelines at all times, including proper handling of food and equipment
- Working days Friday & Saturday 7am start plus one other week day.
Experience
- Previous experience in food production, food preparation or cooking is desirable but not essential; a high interest in cooking/baking will be required if there is no previous experience.
- Knowledge of kitchen procedures, including food safety standards and hygiene practices
- Experience working in a restaurant or catering environment is advantageous
- Familiarity with baking techniques
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
- Prior experience in a customer-facing role is preferred but not mandatory
