Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Seafood Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with a particular focus on seafood dishes. This role offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your culinary expertise in a vibrant restaurant environment, delivering exceptional dining experiences to our guests. The Seafood Chef will be responsible for preparing, cooking, and presenting a variety of seafood dishes, ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality are maintained at all times.

Duties

Prepare and cook a diverse range of seafood dishes in accordance with restaurant standards and recipes.
Ensure all food is prepared efficiently, accurately, and presented attractively to meet customer expectations.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, adhering strictly to food safety regulations.
Assist in meal preparation during busy periods, supporting other kitchen staff as needed.
Monitor stock levels of seafood ingredients and communicate shortages or needs to management promptly.
Serve dishes to customers with professionalism and courtesy, providing excellent customer service.
Collaborate with the team to develop new seafood recipes and menu items that reflect current culinary trends.
Follow health and safety guidelines diligently to ensure a safe working environment for all staff.

Requirements

Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a professional kitchen environment, preferably in a restaurant setting specialising in seafood.
Strong knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices.
Previous experience in meal preparation, culinary arts, or similar roles is highly desirable.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure whilst maintaining high-quality standards.
Excellent organisational skills with an organised approach to kitchen operations.
Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, or holidays as required by the restaurant schedule.
A genuine passion for seafood cuisine and delivering memorable dining experiences to guests.

Pay: £12.71-£14.00 per hour
