Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Welder/Fabricator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will possess strong welding and fabrication skills, with experience in sheet metal work and mechanical assembly. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work with a dynamic team on diverse projects, contributing to the creation of high-quality products. Candidates should have a solid understanding of welding techniques, be comfortable using various hand and power tools. A proactive attitude and the ability to interpret technical drawings are essential for success in this position.

Duties

Fabricate parts by cutting, shaping, and assembling metal components using hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment
Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to ensure precise fabrication
Use mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot issues during fabrication and welding processes
Assist in the assembly of finished products, ensuring all components meet quality standards
Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to health and safety regulations
Conduct basic measurements and calculations to ensure accurate fabrication according to specifications
Operate equipment such as grinders, drills, saws, and other relevant tools efficiently

Experience

Familiarity with <LOCATION> welding standards and practices is desirable
Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and sheet metal working equipment
Knowledge of mechanical principles related to assembly and fabrication processes
Ability to read technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics accurately
Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and quality checks
Experience working with sheet metal materials and performing precise cuts and welds is preferred
Strong attention to detail with a focus on safety, quality, and efficiency

Pay: £12.31-£16.00 per hour
