Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Welder/Fabricator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will possess strong welding and fabrication skills, with experience in sheet metal work and mechanical assembly. Duties
- Fabricate parts by cutting, shaping, and assembling metal components using hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to ensure precise fabrication
- Use mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot issues during fabrication and welding processes
- Assist in the assembly of finished products, ensuring all components meet quality standards
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to health and safety regulations
- Conduct basic measurements and calculations to ensure accurate fabrication according to specifications
- Operate equipment such as grinders, drills, saws, and other relevant tools efficiently
Experience
- Familiarity with <LOCATION> welding standards and practices is desirable
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and sheet metal working equipment
- Knowledge of mechanical principles related to assembly and fabrication processes
- Ability to read technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics accurately
- Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and quality checks
- Experience working with sheet metal materials and performing precise cuts and welds is preferred
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on safety, quality, and efficiency
Pay: £12.31-£16.00 per hour
