Company Overview

Curtains Made Simple is an internet-based soft furnishings business, established 18 years ago, that prides itself on high levels of customer service. You will be joining the team at an EXCITING time, just as we have launched our new website and are looking to grow the business. This is a key position and as the business expands there is potential for it to develop and for responsibilities to be increased.

We are looking for a high-energy, super-organised individual with an eye for detail, who enjoys spinning plates and delivering excellent customer satisfaction.

In the initial period, the position will be focused on the operations part, but as you help the business grow, your role will become primarily focused on business development; we plan to employ an additional person to do the operations part in 9-12 months.

You will be working in a friendly environment as part of a small team in a business that truly values its staff.

We pride ourselves in providing excellent training and support and furthermore encourage all our staff to contribute ideas to develop and improve the business & the processes for maximum efficiency.

Business Development

Driving the ActionCOACH (business mentor) programme to grow the business
Working closely with the Senior Operations Manager to help improve business processes
Responsible for coordinating and implementing the digital marketing strategy and plan

Digital Marketing

Create the digital marketing systems and processes
Website traffic and advertising analytics reporting
Create and manage the remarketing processes
Manage the business’ social media accounts
Manage the customer newsletter process

Team leader for small group of curtain / blind makers

Manage a team of three freelance curtain / blind makers and another larger curtain making business.
Manage their workflow & work tickets

Management of Fabric Suppliers

Place and manage fabric orders with suppliers
Develop relationships with fabric brand representatives

Customer Service

Take pre-order enquiries by phone and email from online customers
Create quotes for prospective customers
Resolve difficulties and issues with customer orders
Manage customer order changes, track order progress & update customers

Required Skills & Competencies

Ability to think imaginatively and strategically about developing the business
Experience in digital marketing
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Delivers exceptional care & service to all customers
Strong numeracy
Good analytical skills and business acumen
Ability to multi-task and problem-solve with attention to detail
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Experience in administration /operations / logistics
