Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Ironing Attendant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring all garments and linens are pressed to a high standard, contributing to the overall presentation and quality of our hotel services. Previous hotel experience is advantageous, but a keen eye for detail and a commitment to excellence are essential. Duties
- Carefully press and iron a variety of garments, linens, and fabrics according to specified standards
- Ensure all items are free from wrinkles, stains, and damage before returning them to guests or storage
- Organise laundry schedules to meet operational deadlines efficiently
- Maintain the cleanliness and organisation of the ironing area and equipment
- Assist with sorting laundry items and preparing them for pressing
- Follow health and safety guidelines at all times during work processes
- Report any damaged or defective equipment promptly for maintenance or replacement
Skills
- Previous experience in a hotel or hospitality environment is preferred
- Strong attention to detail with an eye for colour, fabric type, and finishing quality
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards of presentation
- Good organisational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks with precision
- Basic knowledge of fabric care instructions and ironing techniques
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team
Pay: £12.71-£13.00 per hour
