The Role
We are looking for an experienced and driven Inbound Warehouse Manager to take overall responsibility for our Goods In, Yard, Car Park, and third-party warehousing operations at our Milton Keynes site. This is a hands-on leadership role where you will manage a team of 30 — including 4 direct reports — ensuring all areas operate safely, efficiently, and in line with company policies. You will play a key role in driving a continuous improvement culture, managing costs, and ensuring the highest standards of GMP and Health & Safety are maintained at all times.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage Goods In, Yard, Car Park, and 3rd party warehousing to ensure efficient daily operations
- Lead and inspire a team of 30, driving high performance through feedback, support, and stretch targets
- Champion a strong Health & Safety culture and ensure compliance with GMP and all audit requirements
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives including effective warehouse layout and product flow
- Proactively manage on-site and off-site warehouse space and storage
- Maintain accurate stock takes, systems data, and timely processing of all transactions
- Manage departmental budgets including overheads, payroll, PPE, and consumables
- Oversee storage equipment, dolav, tray and equipment management with full financial accountability
- Manage daily waste responsibilities and support the EHS manager on site waste and sustainability projects
- Provide clear personal development pathways for all team members and support succession planning
- Ensure canteen facilities, amenities areas, and car park are clean, tidy, and safe at all times
- Lead the Work Buzz engagement plan for your full team
What We're Looking For
Essential
- Proven warehouse management experience, ideally within a high-volume or food manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of Health & Safety and Food Quality & Safety standards
- Demonstrated experience leading and developing engaged, high-performing teams
- Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Decisive, commercially minded, and able to make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communicator with the ability to collaborate across departments and influence stakeholders
Desirable
- Previous experience managing third-party warehousing providers
- Background in food production or FMCG operations
- Experience with continuous improvement methodologies
